Myself a mechanical engineer with 5+ years experience in oil and gas projects.

I just wanted to get local perspective in the Canadian market. Can recently migrated people/locals please give information that how is job situation for Mechanical/design/project engineers generally. e.g. are there lot of engineers looking for job, are jobs mostly fixed term or permanent?

Also what industries in Canada require mechanical engineers in the current times?

I would highly appreciate your input from people and professional already in Canada.
