Hi All,
For my work experience requirement, I worked for a Company A (same position) and was transferred to company B (same position) and am still working in company B since 1.5 yrs. My employer wrote down the detailed responsibilities in my job offer for the position and not in my reference letter. Will my application be rejected as it is not in my reference letter? I applied on July 4, 2018 and am my application is still in background check. Also the status says 4 more days for my estimation completion date. I am worried that my application will be rejected.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Job offer letter only testifies to intentions, not what you actually did, so it is not considered the same thing. Your letter of reference should state your job duties and responsibilities. You seem to be aware of this, so why doesn't it? And did you write a letter of explanation?

I thought my job offer responsibilities would suffice.

No I did not write a letter of explanation. I was reading these forums recently and then noticed I messed up. my 6 months of my application will be up on january 7th. Do rejections come after 6 months or they have already decided on my eligibility?

There is no fixed schedule. You could apply for your GCMS notes and see what is happening, and/or you could try to obtain a complete Letter of Reference with a letter of explanation, and upload that via webform, you never know, it could make a difference if you get it submitted on time.

I have requested my employer for a complete reference letter. But since HR people are on vacation at this point, it is unlikely I will get them in 4 days. It is kinda frustrating that I wasted 6 months where I could have done this, but now I feel completely hopeless.

First, 4 days is an estimate, not a drop-dead deadline : ) Second, you don't know yet if it IS a problem, they could theoretically contact your employer to verify your work experience (they are not obligated to do so, however). Yeah, vacations are frustrating, but it is not mandatory that it comes from the HR person (from IRCC's perspective), it could come from your former boss/supervisor...
