Job reference check

Hi guys. When your local embassy receives all your supporting documents, i.e. police certs, job references, copies of passport etc. How long before they check your references with your former employer. Is it before they send you for a medical.
I have had to take my employer to court for unpaid wages and dont think he will cooperate with C.I.C.

I dont think reference checks done in every case & from every employer. Even cases where employers contacted, they may be asked to confirm what they would have already certified.

I just hope he confirrms what he certified. I am really nervous. I even notified C.I.C about him and sent them documents referring to the legal case.
