Hi, Guys,
Michael here to enquire about the job market in Canada for civil engineer. From my understanding from the internet, Canadian civil market is shortage of experienced engineers. However, foreign experienced engineers cannot get a professional civil engineer job because they cant have the license without one year's Canadian experience. It's like a chicken-egg problem. The only possibility is to find a lower level technician job such as drafter, estimator or something alike.
Can anyone share with me about the opportunity to find a drafter job for new immigrants without Canadian experience (is it also difficult to find although I'm with sufficient professional software skills and good command of English?) and maybe other chances to get through the though period?
Thanks a lot!
