Dear all esp those who are in Canada!

Hope you are enjoying your life.

I saw many people complaining about not getting jobs. I found a govt website with thousands of jobs.

jobbank.gc.ca

Just want to confirm, if anyone of you checked this website. Did you get any positive response? What is the authenticity of the jobs posted here?

There are lots of jobs it is just that here in Canada, they do not take new immigrants that easily except for mostly low level jobs (initially) but then depends on the individuals, some tend to stay in these low level jobs whilst others are able to push on to find better roles.

You must speak English and French fluently if you want to work in government

There's no "low level jobs" here... just that different ppl partake different vocations.

Knowing french is an advantage but not a must. Jobs when they are advertised do state about the proficiency of language, if it say bilingual it means english and french, otherwise the requirement is english only.

Thanks for your replies

But I can see that there are jobs for govt offices as well as many private firms job offerings are there.

For Qubec, you need to know French otherwise English is enough to get jobs. Am I right????

I believe you have to know some French in order to work in Quebec.
I browse through the listings and all require some level of french.
Even some of the listings are in French o_O

Did you try searching in Albert, Ontario? I think in these areas, only English is required
