Job Offer Vs Job Offer based on received of PR

Hi everyone,

I am currently in the process of applying for PR through express entry and have most of the documentation together. The last thing which I may need and do NOT have is a firm job offer supported by an LMIA. However I do have lots of interest from several companies they have not gone through the LMIA process to make the job offers valid. They will only do this based on me having the PR.

I declared that I do not have a job offer during my application but as part of my letter of intent to settle in Toronto would like to increase my chances by representing this interest from companies in the city.

My current score without a job offer is 469. Would this be enough to ensure express entry is approved or is it vital to get the job offer before moving forward? I really do not want to waste all the money spent getting everything together and applying if this is not going to work.

To give a little further context: I do have a work permit currently still valid for an employer that I no longer work for but which could offer me a job again. on the CIC website it states the following:

"your current employer(s) offered you a full-time job if you’re accepted as a permanent resident, in a job that is in the same three digit level of the NOC as your current job, for at least one year"
Does this mean my previous employer can still offer me a job based on this LMIA even if I have left the job and do not currently live in Canada?

Thanks for any info, tips and help you might be able to offer.

Kind regards,

JapCan

If your score is 469 you are good to go without a job offer. The last draws had a score around 438-452.

You won't be wasting money, just make sure you have the documentation to support your application and the answers you provided that gave you 469 points.

Thanks for your reply. I saw that this is the case but wasn't sure if that means you automatically get in or if you simply get considered. I assume that the higher the score the better. If you are above the score do you automatically get approved?

Just to add some info. We have already been invited to apply. My question is about approval of application and not invitation to apply.

Thank you

Ok understood. So above the cut off what is the basis for making the decision? Simply the look of the application? Would you know what percentage of those above the cutoff do not make it through?

Thanks as ever.

many... many people do not provide correct documentation and they get rejected.... be truthful and spot on documentation thats all is required
