Well since finding work is not as easy as I thought, can you guys once enlighten me in regards to getting a student permit. I'm only a graduate of a Bachelors Degree in nursing here in the Philippines. I know that in order to be a lic. nurse in Canada you have to take some units. Which schools in cater to international students. It may take me longer to become a PR but I have to study my options. I don't exactly know the universities and colleges that cater to international students. Your help is once again needed....Thank you for those who take their time to help those in need.... :)

Hey Guys, that is absolutely a SCAM. I have received similar offer from Stone Petroleum Corporation Canada (Jennifer Pritchard, HR Manager, 1700, 500 - 4 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta, T2P 2V6, Canada, Tel:402 404 5107) After the seond mail from HR Manager which says to pay 550 CAD as processing fee with this details.
Amount: fees of $550 Canadian Dollars
Method of payment: Money Gram Transfer.
Accountant Receiver name: Gibson Dhillon
Address : 1033 Dundas St. East, Toronto , Ontario, M5B 1B8 Canada

After the mail I asked a Lawyer in Canada Debra Thal (by paying $28) and here is his reply:

((There have been several questions posted on this site about issues like this/
So far thes job offers have all been scams and victims paid a lot of money for nothing.
Employers who are legitimate do not have their employees send money.
It's not done.
I am happy you thought to ask now.
As well there is no such lawyer licenced on Ontario.
And while that address does exist in Toronto that postal code does not go with this address.))

Now is upto you whether you want to pay off or keep safe your money. For me, I didn't Pay.
Thanks

Thank you guys for enlightening me. If by any chance you know of any website I can search for jobs or legitimate companies that cater to international nurses, please feel free to help me out and in the long run, I will return the favor. On my part, I don't have a financial problem but of course, money is still money...lol.. Thanks so much....
You dont need any paid representative to apply for a working permit. All you need are job offer from a Canadian employer, a positive LMO, filled up application form, and few other documents listed in the website where you will be submitting your application. Friends in this forum and the guidelines in the CIC website are the best tools to pull it through.

I am also a nurse. My WP application is under process. Just did my medicals yesterday. There is no easy way to get a nursing employment in canada. I got one and these are the steps I did.
1. Underwent the whole process of getting eligibility to sit for the CRNE.
2. Went to Canada to sit for the CRNE and applied a job during my stay there. It was easy for me, since I had the eligibility(temporary license) to practice as a nurse.
3. Employer in canada applied for my LMO.
4. Went home to my country of residence and waited.
5. After almost 2 months of waiting, i got my CRNE result and my LMO which are both positive.
6. Applied for WP.

BTW, pinoy din po ako.

Get that RN license and there are lots of nursing jobs waiting in Canada. Cheers!

habahaba_chixnax You are 100% right to look for a better life.
Those who are really driven to take the chance are clear targets for these companies.

If any company or person asks for money to provide a job/immigration in Canada, it is a red flag.
As rjessome has said, you choose a representative if you want one, the company cannot force it on you.

Be happy that you are not losing money, there was never a job (with this company) to lose anyway.

Be inspired that you did think something was wrong, you mentioned scam in your post here.

Stay strong.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate it. I was offered the job at Stones Petroleum company, and just before I send my last 4000 Rands which is equivalent to their CAD550 I looked at the site, I don't know what made me to do that, but I think God was with me the whole time. I saw your comments and I was really happy because I did not send the money already. I was suspicious the whole time because I am a graduate student and when I checked the immigration site it stated that the international worker should fall in federal skilled or QUEBEC SKILLED WORKER and when I rate myself I did not qualify for either one of them because I have not worked full time before and I don't have a spouse also I don't know french. When I asked them what type of the work permit i will have they replied saying I should not worry because i will get a general labour permit which I then checked for it over the internet and I did not find any permit of that type.
Again thank you guys for letting me know that my guts were telling me something was wrong.
