Hi,

I joined a company in Canada in May 2018. I came to Canada on a Temporary Work Permit which did not need an LMIA.
In order to receive the job offer points in FSW class for Express Entry, do I need to complete 1 full year with the company?

The CIC website mentions for non-LMIA folks: have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer

Please note that I have been working with this employer in US and India as well but that was another entity. For eg, was working with Oracle US and now am working with Oracle Canada.
Would that count as working for that employer or I need to be working for 1 full year with Oracle Canada to be eligible for the job offer points?

Thanks.

Yes. However, that is only one of 3 requirements to have a valid job offer...

I was in similar situation. You don't really need a job offer if you get enough points from IELTS, experience and education. Given the fact that recent draws are staying at 440 for EE, maybe consider not taking your job offer for points. I have been reading through posts when I was doing my application and found that there are still some effort to make the job offer qualify for points. Ended up not using it entirely.

If you do need these points, read through instructions from CIC. It has detailed information regarding a qualified job offer.

Thanks for your response.
I do not meet the 440 points requirements and hence was asking about the job offer points question.

I see. From my experience, letters from US employer are clearly stating my time and location with the company. Details like "From when to when as what position at what location" are provided. So to my understanding, time with oversea branches may not count towards Canada immigration.
