I live in Ontario working for an Employer on ICT Work Permit (LMIA Exempt-Code C12) for around 5 months. My employer provided a letter confirming that I’ll have continuous employment for more than 1 year from the date of granting PR. When I submit the Express entry form online, the CRS score does not count the “Job Offer” and hence does not account the 50 points that is otherwise added for Job Offer. Should I complete 1 year on ICT Visa in order to be considered as Canada Experienced class or is there any other factor that is preventing me from getting the score for “Job Offer”

Yes - you must complete 1 year of full time work experience in Canada before you will be eligible for the 50 points. Your employer must also provide you with a letter stating that they will continue to employ you in this role for at least 1 year after you become a PR.

I believe your ICT will fall under the 3rd bullet point and @scylla is referring to the 2nd sub-bullet point:
It [valid job offer] also must be made:
  • by an employer with a new positive LMIA that approves the offer and names you and your position OR
  • if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and:
    • you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
    • you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
    • your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident OR
  • if you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
    • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
    • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer
    • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa

Thanks you!!! Yes. I do fall under Bullet # 3. But when i complete the Online form, the question I see "Do you have one year full time experience ON THE work permit for the same employer"? When i do have more than 10 years with the current employer, I'm not able to enter that since the question specifies on whether that one year experience was attained with the work permit.

You need to work for your employer for a full year in Canada before you will qualify for the 50 points. It doesn't matter that you have 10 years with your current employer outside of Canada. You need a full year of employment IN Canada with that employer before you'll qualify for the 50 job offer points.

Hello fellows,
I have created my EE profile and will complete my one-year experience in Canada in December. The system will consider my one year experience in November and I will get ITA by then. If I claim my job offer now to get point now one month before completing a full year work experience with my current employer, is that okay to meet all the claimed points by APR or they have to be met at the time ITA?

Hello
One follow up question. After completing one year, would I also receive additional points for the 1 year of Canadian work experience or would it be just 50 points for the job offer?

You'll get points for your 1 year Canadian work experience (35 points) plus some additional points for "Skill transferability factors" maximum 100 points. These additional points are combination of education, language and Canadian and foreign work experience.

Hi
I have a question
My score is 445 along with my husband with 1 year canadian experience.
If I work another year in canada my score is going to be 456 adding 11 points, whereas one year foreign exprience will give me 26 scores making my score 471.
I wanted to know if its possible that working one year in canada and second year in india will give me 26 points or is there any catch here?
Thanks in advance
