Hello everyone,

there's something I just don't understand with the whole federal skilled worker program.
Processing time in my country is about 20 months. Lets say I've got a job offer, why would an employer be willing to wait 20 months.

My question is, if my job offer becomes irrelevant, would I be allowed to still go on with my fsw status and apply for new jobs.
If not, what am I missing here, how are you all getting job offers for jobs you'll only be able to take 1-2 years from now.

Thanks, and I'll really appreciate it if someone can take the time to answer my questions.

Yes - it tends to be difficult to find an employer who is willing to wait. You're not really missing anything.

The job offer must still be valid at the time the PR visa is issued.

Thanks for replying, just noticed I posted on the wrong forum.
Any advice on where to look for jobs for foreign workers, I assume the average employer on a job searching site isn't looking for 2 years from now.
