Dear all,

In section for writing "Job Occupation", do I need to write exactly my current job title or can write something that truly reflects my job description.

I'm actually performing all cosmetics supervisor's level duties but my job title is "Research & Development Chemist" here. I want writing "Cosmetics chemist supervisor" instead of "R & D Chemist" in said column.

Please seniors do reply & advise me in this regard.

Title is not at all important as every company has its own way of describing titles. Job responsibilites are very important. The immigration officer will spend more time on duties than title. So its not a problem with the one you have or you want to mention

I'll go with rocky.
duties and responsibilities are important. and moreover I have been hearing refusal cases when education have not matched with chosen NOC code. Pretty sad tho true.

Hi Rocky and Jnathan,
One of my friend is a Bachelor of Engineer in Computer Science and he is into IELTS instructor job for the past 4 years. He applied for the Permanent residence to Canada under skilled worker class and in his application he mentioned that he is Bachelor of Engineer in Computer Science and He is working as a IELTS instructor. He applied as an Vocational English instructor(NOC-4131-A). He got his file number last week. Does that mean that they are considering his work experience irrespective of his field of study or they did not pay much attention as it is just an initial assessment. He is in great worry whether he would qualify or not in the second step as he is going to send all the documents like his degree, experience, etc. So when they find his education is irrelevant to his experience will they reject or consider his work experience and proceed. He did not do any courses related to English Instuctor. But he has certain certificates of training and documents that can proove he worked as IELTS Instructor. Will they consider his certificates and documents or simply reject as his field of study is different from his experience. Please throw some light on these issues.

Thanks in Advance:Gowtham
