Depends.

Usually the work permit is only good for that employer under that position (closed work permit). That means that you cannot be employed by anyone else until you get a new work permit. You can start looking for a new job and file for a new work permit as soon as you land, but it will be a hard sell on CIC.

Thanks for the reply.

I want to know, why i need work permit if i have immigration. My understanding is that, if i have canadian immigration, then i do not need work permit in order to work with some company.

Thanks

If you are an immigrant then you can work with any employer of your choice, for whatever period you wish - no need for a work permit. It is perfectly within your rights to find a job while you have one. It is not illegal.
However, if it is a situation where a work-term has been specified in your work contract, then I advise: read and understand the terms of termination by either party, and the implications/consequences for both parties following the termination. Confirm that by you terminating the contract, you will not face any penalties - legal or financial.

i believe you are getting my actual question. Let me ask again in more detail.

Overview:
i am in the process for applying immigration to Canada under express entry FSW. My score is low and if i get job offer from Canadian company, then my scores will be much better and i have high chances of getting immigration quickly and land in Canada.

Suppose i got a job offer when i was in express entry pool. And have received immigration now. Also i have landed in Canada.

Question:
How much time period i have to spend in the company which offered me job for my immigration.
1) None - I can search for another job and work for another company as soon as i get offer.
2) For few months
3) For min 1-2 years or so.

Hope i have clarified my question. Please reply me with what is legal.

Thanks
