I am not sure what exactly your job scenario is but the the letter should be from the Manager on the company letter head along with offer letter, relieving letter(if left the company) and pay stubs. I believe you should be good if all the company names match on these documents. I think you are a consultant and work for a client and thats why the confusion. I would wait to get feedback from people in the same situation.
