Hi,

I did Masters degree in New brunswick, I moved to Toronto and I have been working for the last 7 months using PGWP. For applying PR it seems, for one year experience I get some points. I got another offer now near Toronto which I want to take. IF I work there for 5+ months, will the PR process consider me as 7+5 = 12 months as one year and do I get points or do they not? Because the clause says one year continuous experience. Please clairfy since I got a new offer pending to be accepted.

Thanks,
Karthik

Pre-Assessed..
Yes you will get points for 12 months. CEC does not require continuous experience, only FSW does. Just make sure that you DO work for at least 12 months (not 11 months and 25 days)

Thanks for your reply. But will I be getting a choice to apply under FSW or Canadian Experience Class? I might be getting married before applying for permanent residency which complicates things. So not sure if I can use the 5+7 months as 1 year experience? Which will be the best option in terms of getting a PR? Stay in this job for 1 year or can I work 7+5 ?

Thanks again,

Regards,
Karthik
