Guys, i wanted to know if CIC calls the employers as a part of their background check? Or is it done on a sample basis? I am worried that if the wrong people get the call from my company, they will terminate me.

Yes they DO call employers, though not for every next case. Nobody can tell you for certain. But they can very much call your employers. Some people do not report their employers getting any calls, and some do.

It is always good to get references of people you can trust and know will not jeoparidse your application

I am getting my work certificate signed by my supervisor who i trust but i am just afraid someone else might pick up the call and things might end up going south.

I think they will call the referee on the number mentioned. If they cant get through, they will call the switchboard and then probably ask for anyone
