Hello, my name is Hassan, and I have some questions about my job letter for my wife's immigration visa. So, currently, I work at Shoppers Drug Mart as a pharmacy assistant part-time. The reason is because I'm also a full-time student at Conestoga College so I'm unable to work that many hours. I'm a little worried because the Canadian immigration office might decline my wife's visa due to the fact of me not working enough hours or having enough money. My hours are once or twice a week, 5-10 pm. Please let me know if I can solve this problem as soon as possible.

Kindly,

Hassan Ali

Depend on how much available funds you show in your application. Friend of mine had similar situation during studying and her husband's visitor visa was approved, no issue. Visiting spouse should get part time work permit as well.

You are posting under the wrong section. This is for family sponsorship. You aren’t sponsoring her as you don’t have PR or citizen. Post under foreign workers or visitor visa. There is no such thing as an immigration visa. When you post under the correct section, include when your permit expires.

Are you a PR or citizen of Canada?

If you are and want to sponsor you wife to become a PR as well, you can show savings and family support. If you aren't, I don't know how this can be done under family sponsorship.

Then you can show savings and family support. You need to show that you have enough income + savings to cover both yourself and your spouse's living in Canada.

Ask your dad to write a letter to show that he can provide for your living and food. May be include a statement on how much savings he has.

Hello Hassan, i am also in the same shoes as you, however, i am a permanent resident and i plan to sponsor my wife soon. I have been wondering if being a student and working casually as a nurse affects my application.

Depends on lots of things, when your studies end, what is the likelihood of you getting a good job after graduation that can support the both of you, how much extra savings your parents have in addition to their expenses, needed retirement savings, etc., whether your wife works and will be able to work soon after her arrival to Canada, whether she has her own savings, etc. If you are only working 5-10 hours at likely between $15-20/hr so that is Nkomo a lot of money. Hopefully you are graduating soon and can find full-time work before her PR is approved.
