Online application submitted: 25th jan 2019
Biometrics request: 26th jan
Biometric submitted: 30th jan
VAC forwarded to Bangalore IRCC on 30th Jan
Showing on VFS tracking “In transit to IRCC Bangalore for processing”
Got Acknowledge letter: 18th Feb 2019 (from Delhi immigration)
Stating that -
We want to assure you that your application is in process and is proceeding normally. We continue to process the applications as quickly as possible.

Hi All, I submitted my parents visa application yesterday online. Shall I wait for biometric letter before booking appointment for biometric or I can do without it too. Also what documents one should carry for biometrics. Appreciate early reply. Visa office will be New Delhi for biometric.

Wait for the letter to come. It usually comes in a day or two and all the required documents are listed there. As far as I remember my parents took their passport and biometrics letter request letter.

It solely depends upon your application. When I applied for my trv I got approved in less than a week. Now I’m applying for my parents and their processing has exceeded the normal timeline (12days posted on cic website). I applied for my parents on jan 27 and I’m still waiting but once you submit your passport, normally the passport is returned back in a week or less than that. Good luck!!
