Visa - travel/entry document - allows you to enter/re-enter or travel into the country. Does not give you authorization to work/reside in the country.

Work permit - status document; gives you authorization to work (and attached to this - to take up temporary residence) within the conditions stipulated in the permit.

Di mo kailangan i-renew ang visa if multiple entry up to the duration of the expiry nito. If single entry, not valid or used na sya as soon as you landed. You can get a new one (re-entry visa) if you need to travel out of Canada for vacation and intend to return afterwards.

/all the best...

Here's the latest about PAFSO Strike:

To date, members who have not been identified as essential and who are currently working in the immigration section have withdrawn services in Manila, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Delhi, Chandigarh, London, Moscow, and Mexico City. While this action does not mean that the entire office is closed, it does mean a significant increase in processing times. You can find information on processing times at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website at: www(dot)cic(dot)gc(dot)ca/english/information/times/
Regrettably, we are unable to answer case specific inquiries (and in fact, do not have the information to do so). You can however learn how to lodge an inquiry at: www(dot)cic(dot)gc(dot)ca/english/my_application/status.asp Or if you have an immigration application in progress in Canada you may contact the CIC Call centre at 1-888-242-2100 or by e-mail at: question@cic(dot)gc(dot)ca
Foreign Service officers who do immigration work take great pride in their work and want nothing more than to come to a reasonable settlement with their employer. You can help to encourage the Government of Canada to return to the bargaining table by speaking to Canadian members of parliament and elected officials. We suggest you send your concerns about your brother's situation to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Jason Kenney. He can be contacted at Jason.kenney@parl(dot)gc(dot)ca or you can send him a note on Twitter at @kenneyjason.

Meron din ba same case ko? baka pwede makatulong kayo sakin..Ganito kasi yun, nag start ako magwork nung december 05 2012 last year... Wala pa din ako contract or SSS kasi training pa lang ako noon for 15days. As of now... Im still working pa din sa restaurant im finished with my contract for 6months pero pumirma ulet ako for another 6months contract sa restaurant. Thank you so much Godbless us all

Back to normal na ba ang lahat? Salamat ng sobrang dami sa response nyo..
