Hello All,

I need an info. I hired a consultancy for helping me out with the Canada Express entry process. Since I received my ECA for masters yesterday [Jan 4], they urged me to re-create [as the old one had expired] the profile at the earliest. They were the ones who created it for me. Since I had no access to mobile or laptop they submitted it for me. My score was 475 and hence I received an ITA. I was excited until I reverified the submitted application in EE pool. They had made a couple of mistakes in the "Educational history" section while entering the data for Bachelors

1. The "Full Academic years" for Bachelors was supposed to be 4 but they had entered as 2.
2. "The level of Education as shown on ECA" should be Bachelors for this section [as I have another entry for Masters] whereas they had entered as Masters.

When I contacted them, they said these are minor human error which could be explained in the LOE and there is no need to decline the invitation as these do not affect the points.

All other data viz. start date, end date, WES ref number, wes ref date etc are correct for both Bachelors and Masters
What should I do in the above situation? Should I go ahead with the profile with an LOE or should I decline the invitation? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Did they already submit the eAPR? If not, you/them can correct it there.

Hey guys what is this family relationship proof all about. Can I leave that blank? I have an uncle here in Canada and I stated that but I don't live with him and I am not depending on him.

You cannot leave it blank as you claimed you had a relative in Canada, you will need to proof it.

Hi guys,

I just got invite under CEC today and went through the initial questionnaire. While creating profile, it asked if I have a relative here. I do have an uncle here, and I entered that it is asking me for Family member proof of status. My folly was I did not realize it will be a hassle to prove he is related to me and under CEC it doesnt even add points for me. It asks me to upload his canadian passport and proof of relationship!

If i went and changed my answer to say no i do not have an uncle here, i am assuming that field to upload will disappear. Should I reject my invite in this case? Even though i doubt my points will reduce because of not mentioning that I have a relative but it might be wrong because of misrepresentation?

edit:After giving it 2 mins of thought, I realize the back of my dad and my uncle's passports should suffice where it mentions my grandfather's name?

No. You do not have to reject the invite. You can answer "No" to the question that asks if you have any relatives in Canada and remove his details from your profile. The placeholder you were talking about will disappear.

Edit: You should prove the relation between your uncle and your parent and the relation between your parent and yourself.

To do this, you can submit documents (Birth Certificate/Passport etc) of your parent and your uncle that shows common parents. You can then provide your document showing your parent's name on it, completing the chain.

Also, you would have to prove your uncle is currently residing in Canada - a lease agreement, latest utility bill etc would work.

Hello folks,

I have received my ITA :)

Is it advisable to pay the application fee or both the application fee and RPRF or only the application fee?

Thanks

I chose both because it said by paying RPRF up front it speeds up the process :p
And it is refundable even if you're rejected, so nothing to lose I think.

Hello all,

I am working 24 hours a week for more than 2 years now and got ITA.
Do I have to show any funds if I am working here in Canada?

I wouldn't risk it as he/she may have come to visit previously and noted him as relative. So, lying may not be a great idea.
Unless you've got a plan B; I wouldn't take the chance.

Congrats to all that got ITA.
Im confused about "Personal History". Is it work history? What should I provide? Will they ask proof for each entry on the next step?

I guess not. However, looking again at the description it seem clear to me now: military service, professional association, government so on:
