For those who got their passport, how long was the waiting time?

Approximately ten days, regular processing but with pick-up (in case of mail strike), North York.

Single Applicant Timeline (Sydney IRCC):

October 25, 2024: Application Submitted

January 15,2025: AOR Received/Application Filed

January 21, 2025: Background Verification Completed

February 7, 2025: Citizenship Test Invite - February 7, 2025 to March 8, 2025

February 15, 2025: Completed Test - 19/20

February 21, 2025: Citizenship test marked as “completed” (Tracker: February 25

June 12,2025: In person interview

June 12,2025: LPP completed (updated on the Tracker June 14,2025)

Citizenship oath: in progress, Oath schedule for June 27th,2025


The Wait is finally over

Congrats. Just wondering. If test was marked complete without issues, why the in-person interview?

Is anyone else still waiting for oath after their LPP was marked as completed? My LPP was completed on June 9th, and I haven't seen any update on oath yet.

still waiting for LPP so no. Also funny thing, I think they are profiling people based on religion and nationality when they're doing background checks. Pretty certain about that.

I just checked your post history, you AOR is 4th Feb, mine was 15th Jan, so you might hopefully see your LPP this or the next week

its not that anyone is being prioritised, but certain nationalities and religious backgrounds seem to attract additional checks (seem to being operative term here I can't reliably say), which would not be wholly unsurprising https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/immigration-refugees-citizenship-racism-1.6217886

no no I think I still have a lot of wait but I know a couple of friends not on these forums who are also in the exact scenario and I was surprised none of us has got LPP yet (all of us are behind the "median")

I have completed LPP since 28 May still no invitation for oath. Tried to call Ircc and submit a webform as well. I have genuine reason but still no response. Every time they just give me generic reply. Primary office : Vancouver

oh interesting. I wish they would go in order, I see people from last year still waiting too and that is really annoying, I don't want it to be my case.

Anybody have an idea how long it will take for security check?! I just received my GCMS notes and criminality passed but security still in progress(fingerprint requested by the way) here is my timeline:

Country of birth: Iraq
AOR: Feb 7 2025
Fingerprint submitted: March 17th 2025
Citizenship test completed: March 17th 2025
Ghost update: April 29th 2025(which I believe it was for criminality passed as per GCMS)

Nothing else since then!

Anyone has Their citizenship now? For January 2025 application? I’m still waiting mine it’s been 6 months now.
