I applied for citizenship in January 2024 but because my PR card got expired in july 2023 and I feel I might travel in future But not sure how long can citizenship process takes. My concern is will my citizenship application be delayed or affected in regards to processing time now that I have applied for PR card renewal?

I heard they put your citizenship application on hold till they finish your PR renewal process first

I did get an AOR on Jan 29 but they are asking for additional information about why my passport not covering the period. I did reply them but they are asking for more information now. Not sure how to or what to answer.

I did get an AOR on Jan 29 but they are asking for additional information about why my passport not covering the period. I did reply them but they are asking for more information now. Not sure how to or what to answer.

I had a similar request for the first five months of my qualifying period. I explained that I renewed my passport, gave them the previous passport number along with a screenshot of my old ETA visa number, and dates of travel during this period. I had a ghost update yesterday so patiently waiting to see what's next. Can you elaborate on what you are unsure about?

If your email is coming from Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca
And it has your UCI & Application no.
Then this is your AOR.

The Subject of the email is something similar to this

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: Information about XXXXXXX Correspondence Id: XXXXXXX


You should then wait to register in the tracker

Check your Spam/Junk Folder

AOR is received from Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca

Any e-mails sent to you by IRCC will end in “@cic.gc.ca” or “@international.gc.ca.” Please add these to your “safe senders” list in your email program and check the junk mail folder in case important emails get filtered.

"This is to acknowledge receipt of your application for Canadian Citizenship. We will review your
application and supporting documents and will contact you if additional information is required."

Shall I assume this to be AOR?

Additionally, I think I forgot to attach my old passport copy. How shall I go about it? Can I provide it before they ask for it to avoid delays?
