Can anyone guide me how long does the application gets delayed if I am not available to take the oath ceremony?.

Hey! The postponement or rescheduling of oaths is not very transparent. It's usually 2-3 weeks but can be up to 6 months in rare cases.

Hey January applicants, following the footsteps of the ones who gave me hope before this! My LPP has been completed finally after 9 months of no updates (except Oct 27 GU). I don't even know what I'm going to do since I'm travelling out of Canada this week for a few weeks. Hopefully they schedule the Oath for when I'm back.

the thing is, in my GSMC notes, it was noted i applied when i as 55+ yrs old, so i am exempt from this two items...

Here is summary of my case. Since I applied from outside Canada (USA), I thought my experience may help someone in the future. I left Canada on Dec 31.

1. Applied Jan 23 2023 (from USA)
2. AOR Feb 06 2023
3. Background completed March 15 2023
4. Citizenship test completed March 31 2023 (sent email and said I am taking the test from outside Canada)
5. GU Update Oct 27 2023
6. Interview invitation: 28 Oct 2023
7. In-person interview: 14 Nov 2023 (Perhaps triggered because I applied from outside and took the test from outside Canada)
8. LPP complete: 17 Nov 2023
9. Oath scheduled: 21 Nov 2023
10. Oath: 14 Dec
11. E-certificate on Dec 15 (morning)
12. Applied for urgent passport inside Canada: Dec 15
13. Received passport: Dec 16

My office was Scarborough.
