Hi group, it feels that Paper applications move a lot slower initially but once AOR is received, it can get moving pretty quickly. Do we know what's the avg processing time for Paper applications over the last 3-6 months vs Online applications?

Thanks!

Please update the tracker with the below entries for my family. My wife decided to do online, while I and my daughter did a paper application. Since the details are mostly the same, should also throw some light into how each path proceeds.

Physical Presence Days: 1100

Hi, did you sign the physical presence calculator document?

Hi

I have one question .. I have completed physical presence days in Canada AS I have landed in Nov 2019 and I had visited India for 1 month
(feb 2022) . DO i need pcc from india as before NOV 19(i.e before PR) I was is india . I have read one point on https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...bsection-5-1-adults-18-years-older.html#Step3

You don’t need to provide a police certificate if

  • you were in your country of origin immediately prior to becoming a permanent resident and landing in Canada, and
  • this time falls within the past 4 years

If you get citizenship test, you do have an option to give it out of Canada too. If you get oath then that's a problem as you have to be in Canada for it.
Otherwise people do travel when application is in process.

Police certificates are required if you stayed for a longer period than 1 month. On my end, I travelled to my home country for straight 300 days during covid, so I had to provide police certificate.

I guess with everything being online now, there should not be any issue.
