Hi all,

My LPP recently passed (Dec 13th) for my spouse and I, but my kids are still have a Status of "in progress" both on the portal and ECAS. Does it mean they are still working on theirs or is that standard for minors?
Minor application just completes in the end when parents application completes. They don't see any status transition.

Applied in jan for self and family. Completed citizenship test by May. Background passed and wait for LPP since then. Recently requested for GCMS notes and shocked to see my spouse failed the citizenship test. Online tracker shows its completed. Now someone from ircc called and said they are going to send a test invitation again. 6 months after 1st test. Does this meana my application will be on hold my spouse clears it?. Is there anyway to expedite it?
No your application will move ahead on its own.

Thanks.. hopefully it will be soon, why would they separate the test and the language when it clearly showed I was over the 55 yrs old, from the application documents (they asked for date of birth) and my passport.. just another layer bureaucratic mumble jumble that adds to the delay and their back log....
Finally... got an email stating - Please find the instructions to download your electronic Canadian Citizenship Certificate (e-Certificate) in the attached document.

In my tracker, it updated ---- You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on January 4, 2024. Though, my Language Skills - in progress / Citizenship Test -not started / Citizenship Ceremony - In progress

Scheduled for Citizenship oath
Citizenship ceremony
Congratulations! You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on January 4, 2024. Follow the instructions you will receive in your ceremony invitation - Dec 19, 2023

However, I have not receive an email on where and time for the ceremony or what documents needed for the attendance.

Anyone there same situation and is there a number i can call to inquire?

Drumrolls, please! I just checked ECAS, and they've made a decision on our applications. Now, we'll have to wait a few days for the new tracker to update! What a fantastic start to the week and an incredible end to the year. Congratulations to all who made it through, and for those still waiting, your moment is coming soon!
Congrats. Please can you share ECAS url?

After an year of wait, finally the tracker got updated and lpp completed 18 December

oath ceremony scheduled 9th January 2024. Official email not yet received but updated on tracker

my question

1. I will be travelling on 22nd January. Can I be able to reschedule the oath ceremony in mid of February or will they make it even more late if I reschedule this

2.Mine was a family application with 3 kids. Can my kids and wifey take the oath ceremony and I will schedule it later once I am back to Canada.?

IRCC does not accept rescheduling request if the reason is not serious enough like death, sickness etc. Better to reschedule your travel then oath. If you decide to miss it, rescheduling can take upwards of 6 months too. 9th oath, 22nd travel you can easily get passport by then.

If you are lucky rescheduling could be smooth but that's unlikely thing with IRCC.
