Hey folks, I need some clarity on some of the errors I made on my application.

Physical Calculator was prepared until the 19th Jan 2022 (as I was planning to apply on the 19th). However I submitted the application on the 29th as I had to travel to India urgently on the 19th itself.

The issues or shortcomings on my application:
-
Application submitted on 29th
-
Physical Presence Calculation is till 19th (of course I am eligible even on the 19th)
- When they asked for City where the application was signed, I wrote Mississauga instead of Mumbai

What I need clarity on:
-
Would my application get rejected? And if so, would I get a refund?
- Or would they request me to re-upload the physical presence calculator?
Physical presence calculator clearly states the following:

Please make sure that the date of application used in this calculation and the date of signature on the
application form are the same.

Warning: If you send an application containing misleading or fraudulent information, you can be charged with a criminal offence and your citizenship application can be refused.

If you submitted your application on 29th then your application date on physical presence calculator should be 29th January and not 19th January. Your eligibility period should be 2017-01-29 - 2022-01-28.

If that's not the case, your application will most likely be returned and I'm not sure why would you write Mississauga when you were clearly outside of Canada. I do believe IRCC has implemented some sort of google analytics for online applications and they must be tracking geo locations for the sake of authenticity. Just hope there are no severe consequences to this but don't take my words for it. Please consult a senior member in this group.

Hi everyone,
Hope you all are doing great!
I have already drafed my online application and will be submitting it today or tomorrow.
I have couple of questions (I apologize in advance if they seems silly)if you guys can share your advice/input please.

1.) Before coming to Canada as a PR in 2018, I travelled to 3 different countries on paid and arranged vacation from my employer. I don’t even know if it was on ‘visitor visa’ or ‘Tourist visa’. I have stamps on my passport and for all of these 3 visas, it says different thing.
For Malaysia, it says - Multiple entry visa, valid for 90 days.

For Indonesia, it says - Tourism purpose only. Valid for 30 days.

For UAE - it doesn’t say what kind of visa it is. It says - 96 hours. In notes section, it says -
validity of permit - 60 days from date of issue, Duration of stay - 96 hours from the date of entry.

What should I select in ‘status’ for these visas under ‘immigration and citizenship’ section in online application ?

2.) I worked for Walmart for 2-3 weeks when I was new to Canada but I don’t remember the exact dates and don’t have any reliving/experience letter from them either. Any suggestion about where Can I find this info (CRA or service Canada account)?

Thanks in advance!

A police certificate is only needed (or not needed) as demonstrated by the following examples. (NOTE: Country of origin is NOT the same as country of citizenship).
Example 1 -, Raj moved to Canada in June 2017. Assuming Raj signs the citizenship application on 09 October 2020, the "4-year period" would be from 08 October 2016 to 08 October 2020. Though Raj lived in India from 08 October 2016 to June 2017 (greater than 183 days), he does NOT have to provide a Police Certificate because he was in his country of origin immediately prior to establishing permanent residence. But he has to make an entry in the table and explain why he isn't providing a certificate - "Lived in country of origin immediately before establishing PR in Canada".

Thanks for the detailed response. It’s was a traumatic week and in that haste i totally forgot to use my brains. I think I’ll just wait for my application to get returned and re-apply once I can.
