I received ghost updates on the 7th, 8th, and 9th of this month but no email or any updates on the tracker, everything is still "in progress". Any idea what's going on?

I had my oath ceremony exactly one week ago; but the tracker still shows as in-progress.
Is this normal? Tried calling IRCC 5/6 times this morning but unable to get through.

Hi,

I've been lurking this page since last month but it's my first time posting.
I think my application is stuck because 3 weeks after my citizenship test was marked as completed, the office sent me another invitation for a test and whenever I tried to access it, it gives me an error. I called IRCC about it and they said that my application is just going fine. I also tried contact my MP and one of their representatives flat out refuses to help me since apparently my application is within normal processing times. It's kinda frustrating how it's impossible to get in touch with someone from IRCC.

Timeline:

Application Type: Online

On a side note, I also applied for a PR card renewal last December and no updates since I mailed it. I have a trip this coming April so it's worrisome and I can't cancel it because it's a family member's birthday. :(

Why did they ask you to send your passport scans twice?

I think they didn't receive it the first time. The second time I sent it I got an auto reply email. The first time, not auto reply.

I really don't know what Mtl office is doing...there is just no rhyme or reason there of how they process applications.

my partner already has the certificate.

my tracker was updated only once in December with all the previous messages since I applied in feb 2022....(I took the test when the tracker still said not started even tho they sent email a month before.)

let's hope it moves soon.:)

Finally got the oath invite, here is my timeline.

Whoever took an online oath, do they ask your choice of e-certificate or paper-certificate during registration? If not, how can I choose in advance?

AFAIK, you cannot chose. Its random selection at time of written test and they send/ask you instructions if you are chosen for e-certificate pilot.
Else its paper certificate.

This.

I got asked in test instructions as to whether I wanted to go ahead with the e-certificate pilot.

So I'm pretty sure that talking to my MP is what "unstuck" my application. I just got my CBSA notes and read through the history, my application was approved the exact same day that my MP called IRCC.
