I am in the same boat, Vancouver applicant. Applied on jan 3 2022.

The 16th Dec was a system update or something. A lot of folks got it in the same timeframe.

Not sure what is taking so long for them to schedule oath after everything is completed

The truth is IRCC is not answerable to anyone so they do as they please. How difficult is it to maybe take out time to organize massive oath ceremonies to clear out the backlog? IRCC is now letting in a record amount of permanent residents, so in like 3 years when they are eligible for citizenship, the system may have collapsed as IRCC cannot plan for any minor interruption.

There are like 20 plus offices in Canada so if each office does 2 ceremonies a day for 300 persons for 21 working days in January, you'll have 264000 persons receiving their citizenship. They can even do half of the amount and still come out in a good shape. I wish there was a way to effect change.

If this is true then we should expect mass ceremonies to be scheduled before end of March.

Fiscal year is Jan - Dec. As its just start of the year, they have 11 months to achieve target.

Fiscal is April to Mar so they have 3 months now

Fiscal is April to Mar so they have 3 months now

In 9 months they did 116K and planning to do 184K in 3 months. Looks like a crazy target.
