Hello all,
I applied online on Jan 05, 2022, received AOR feb 25.
I logged in today and saw that my bgc is completed on Sep 14th.
When can i expect a test invite? do people get an email notification once there is an update on your account or should we periodically check our online account?

Good performance. My BG completed on September 16th as well but only updated today. Haven’t received the test invite yet. Seems Edmonton office is really slow. The slowest office in the entire nation.

There is no set time between any 2 stages. Very random for each individual. However, you can check the tracker for 2022 Jan application and goto the tab location annual - ON & AB. Check the avg time for each stage for your city.
Keep your fingers crossed. It could be soon.

I haven’t received the test invite yet. Very disappointing because so many applicants received the invitation the next day.

What is a ghost update? back in 2016 when my PR was under process it meant, getting an email notification that there is an update in the application, but no update in the online portal. Is it not the same now?

When I logged in to check my status, it indicated that my application was recently updated, but nothing was specifically updated in my application, and there was no email sent to me.

When you check status of your application (https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login) and on the top right corner the "Updated:" field has a date change but no change in status of any activity is called Ghost update. No email is received for this unlike your PR days.

I have sent a web form to update my address on the application as online option wasn’t working form some reason. It has been 3 weeks and I haven’t heard anything after they emailed that they will respond to my inquiry soon. Should I send another web form inquiry or are there any other options to get my address updtaed?

You can call IRCC and check if they have updated the address. That would be a quicker option.

No it didn’t. I have tried multiple times on different days. No matter what ID type I put in it says we are not able to identify you based on the information you provided.
