As per the new announcement made, the new applications will be processed within the standard 6 months time period. What will happen to the backlogs? Many of us are still waiting to receive our pr. Will the entire backlog will be cleared or do we have to wait further?
This thing is now creating more and more depression, frustration, and many major life decisions are on halt because of this.
Pls can I get the link to this new announcement?

Hi everyone, new poster, long time lurker here.

We received our FSW outland letter indicating "ready to issue COPR, send passports etc" around two weeks back (we are US based). Unfortunately the day we received the letter, we had just left on a 3 week trip to our home country, and might have issues meeting the 30 day deadline for sending over our original passports to Canada with a US return address. Especially concerned of any delays with flights or issues due to the last-second nature of COVID testing pre flights.

We did email requesting an extension immediately as instructed in the letter, and also sent through a follow up on not receiving any reply in two weeks. The letter has all relevant info I found applicable (Express entry application ID, UCI etc). No reply yet though, unfortunately.

Is there anything we would need to worry about here?

Edit: particularly asking if there's anything we can do if there's actual delays in travel. Currently, even if flights run exactly to schedule, we are cutting it very close on the 30 day deadlines.
Hi, I need urgent advise here.

I've repeated emailed CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca as instructed in the letter from IRCC on my express entry profile. I'm currently stuck in my home country due to a positive, asymptomatic COVID test and am unable to submit our original passports inside the 30 day timelines as requested in the aforementioned letter.

I'm not sure if there's any other ways for an FSW Outland applicant to contact IRCC here. The 30 day deadline is less than 2 days away, and our positive COVID test was only a couple days back. There is no way for us to comply with the deadlines.

I've been asking for an extension via email since day 1/30.

Please help @legalfalcon or any forum contributors, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Dear @legalfalcon
I have received an ADR today requesting from me a payment receipt of the biometric fee of my wife. The thing is that when submitting my application I've already payed the biometric fee (85$) for one person (that is my wife). As far as my biometric fee is concerned, I did not pay it because I've already done it in 2018 for a previous visa application. In addition, before going to the VFS office for the biometrics of my wife we have already asked them for the payment and they replied by saying that there was no need for that. Shall I just pay again? if so, how shall I do that? is there a link or something? Thanks for the advice in advance.

Today the status bar is completed 100% but still no RFV mail received.
As per the conversation with the IRCC agent, all stages of my application were cleared on 7th April 2022.
Don't know why such delay is happening for the decision.
Does anyone has an idea?

Move to Canada Oct 27 2021 and stay until now under Work Permit
I receive an ADR today for Schedule A and PCC. I have two questions:
1. Do I have to get the police certificate in my home country again since there is a gap not covered from the last time I submitted it to the day I got to Canada
2. Since I am in Canada, do I need to get the Canadian police certificate or it is not neccessary
I appreciate everyone's intake.
Thank you!

For the PA you have to submit Sch A and Additional family form.

For the spouse, you have to submit an Sch A.

It is clearly listed. Not sure what your confusion is.

You can send a web form and inform IRCC. It may take a few weeks for this to be resolved.

If VFS is not charging you anything, which they should not since the biometric fee covers it, you can go ahead and submit the biometrics.

Thanks for your reply @legalfalcon,
Since it may take some time to be resolved as you have mentioned. Can I just pay it, then ask for a refund if it turns out there has been a mistake from their part? Just to save time and receive the PPR as soon as possible, since I'm in my laste stage.
Thanks again.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted opinions on one thing -

I received an ADR on 4th April and submitted the required documents on 23rd April but the status on my application is still showing as "Your action is required". I checked the placeholder, it's closed with the comments documents provided. Can someone suggest if this is normal or has it happened to anyone else?

I'm yet to receive any acknowledgment on the mail regarding the submission.

Kindly share your experiences and suggestions.

This happened to me and it was on action required for two months. I later realized I did not transmit the documents.
After uploading, you will see a button for Next… click it and continue until you have to write your name and attest to submission. After this, the action required will disappear.

Don’t be like me and waste two months writing web forms when the problem was that I only uploaded without submitting.
Best of luck
