called ircc earlier and the agent said it’s on the system already and she tells me to wait.
Anyone in the same boat? Or any idea how long does it take for approval to get the med pass?

I want to share my story with you. My PGWP expired on Nov 2020. I applied for closed work permit using 204C support letter issued by AINP. My employer had encountered a lot of problems to upload my exmployment offer to the employer protal. They had even hired a immigration consultant to assist them. After 7 months of waiting, I got my closed work permit just yesterday. It will be valid until end of Nov 2022. In my opinion, it is better and easier to apply an open work permit than the closed one.

My close work permit is also only valid for 2 years.

No after a month it is default setting that it changes to we didn’t receive your medical as requested. This message your action is required is there for month only . It changes after that . I called them 4 times it says we have your medical it is passed just it has been not processed and updated to your file. To that it is been almos 31/2 months now

That's why even my medical passed for my Paper based already, only security check left, i still accept the iTA from Feb13 to go for EE. Never know how long they will put paperbased application on hold or extend the waiting time...

I think both of us are stuck on the same stage which is "security check", just because our last name, first name, similar to others who also came from Vietnam, so they have to do a long security check to make sure we're not the other person but same name and last name.
