Hello all,
I was looking at the CIC portal this afternoon and noticed it said:

“We are processing your background check”.

Now I can’t remember what it said a few days back. But this seems fast from what I can tell. From looking at past forums it appears security checks don’t typically start until after medical in many cases.

Anyone have any insights/can tell me what their section says only a week after AOR or so?

I believe I figured it out. From what I found on another thread (same forum as this one), the security checks have not yet began, rather this is a false update of sorts. This link better explains it:

Hello Guys...I have a question with regards to my ielts. As a provincial nonimee of Manitoba province, can I submit my PR application with ielts result older than 2yrs? Thank you!

I would advise you to go with a test result that is valid. If it is the other way, IRCC most probably return your application. You can check about the same in the following link.

Are you a provincial nominee through express entry? Or are you a provinical nominee paper based application?
If you will apply on paper (your nomination is not EE ligated), and your NOC is A or B, you do not need a IELTS test.

This is not true, please note, you need IELTS and you can not submit your application without a valid IELTS result because its stated on the nomination email you received. Please follow that email strictly to avoid stories that touch my NOC is in the category of A and B
