They sent me IMM5754 form confirming my owp has been issued.
They're saying the paper document will be sent by mail.

Application received by IRCC: 21 January, 2020
AOR: 12 Mar 2020
OWP approved: 21 Aug 2020
Waiting for the email. Hopefully soon.

I have the exact same dates as you for application sent and AOR received. Just checked my background check it also says "not applicable"...i don't want to get too excited but....fingers crossed!
Check frequently -you will observe the progress . I hope u will get it soon
They are working quickly... They have processed almost 3 weeks of work permits in just a week. Finally, they are getting caught up.
I submitted my application by mail. However, I heard that they scan it upon receipt and create an online profile or case. In GCkey it shows that the application is considered as online application. I think OWP is processed in Mississauga and Edmonton .

I wanted to give an update on my OWP conditions. I received my OWP in the mail on August 12th with conditions. On August 17th my medical was submitted to IRCC through my MP.
I received the following two updates today on GCKey:
1. My medical was PASSED for the permanent residency application.
2. My open work permit had an update and a new approved document is being sent to me. I’m assuming this means my conditions have been removed! I will know more once I receive the new document.
Timeline:
Application received: January 6, 2020
AOR: February 29, 2020
Work permit approved: August 11, 2020
Work permit received: August 12, 2020
Medical passed: August 21, 2020

No I did not get a request. I took a medical last September because I needed one to complete my practicum for school. I submitted it up front!
But when I received my work permit there were still conditions so I inquired about it last week. Just got the update today that my medical is passed.
I'm in the exact same situation as yours.
I took a medical last September as well for coop work permit and submitted it with PR/OWP application, but I recieved my OWP with the conditions so I was pretty frustrate.
But yes that sounds very good news to you and hope the same things happen to me too
