hey guys. i have a question.

My app was recieved 7th february.
I had my visitor visa which expires 31.1. so i applied for extention of visitor visa. seems like i have now implied status (just guessing) so that means that they dont approve my app because i dont have legal status in canada? what should i expect? does anyone have some idea?

i wish you all guys good luck at this difficult time...

Did you extend your visitor visa before 31.1? and When?

Just so you know, PR spousal applications are also processed if the PA is out of status. An application for PR sponsorship wont be rejected because a PA is out of status.

You submitted an application to extend stay, it gives you implied status which is better than not having status. Having an implied status means you can remain in Canada while they process your application to extend stay

You would only get implied status if you actually submitted the application to extend stay before it expired. But it seems you submitted it after it expired. I missed the message with the dates. You were out of status if you applied to extend stay on 03/30 while your status expired 01/31. And if you sent the application in February, then you were out of status and would not have qualified for an OWP either. So you would need to apply for restoration before 90 days which would be this April. It however does not affect your PR application, as long as you are in Canada it will be processed. It wont stop CBSA from coming after you though

Hi everyone!! I applied my sponsorship in January and received AOR and able to linked to my GCkey. I had my EE profile up still, today I just got ITA today. Does anyone know what i should do? Or what’s the best thing for me to do?

You should quote the OP, not me.
my question was for OP above.

Which case is stronger for you? You should consider additional documents when you would be asked by IRCC.

i am not sure how to tell one is stronger than the other! i think i read somewhere that you can apply for both is that possible?
in my EE profile tho, i said i am a single cause my partner is already a citizen here. I don't know if i should apply for EE as well or i am not allowed to....

Hi guys,
I sent in my spousal application on January 26th along with an application for OWP. Application was marked as received a couple days later.
My visa ran out on February 2nd.
I received my receipt for my application yesterday, April 15th, and an application number.

As you know everything went awry with this Covid.
My questions are, will I still need biometrics in order to get my OWP application processed? and secondly, do I have any kind of implied right now with these applications on the go, and even so, can they still send me back to my country due to the application not being processed due to the pandemic and my visa not being valid?
Thanks for any help.

Hi All,
Hope everyone is safe.

I see that many of you have been asking question around implied Status. I have a question of my own and I am not sure.of it has been answered already.

We allied and got aor for the permanent residency but not the owp yet. My wife is on a visitor visa and her 6 months on the territory is coming up next month. Since we have an aor, is she on implied status or should we apply for extension?

Thank you all.

She has implied status if she applied PR+OWP and at the time her application was received, she had valid status. So would be okay as long as the application is not returned. You can decide to apply for extension as a precaution
