For some reason in my mind I am seeing a large room with a pile of applications and CIC officials drinking coffee and occasionally pulling a random application out for AOR!
;)
Seems going slow (at least). https://www.cic.gc.ca/emp/msg/20200713-eng.asp

Interesting about applications being scanned. Maybe they should just let us scan and upload the applications through our accounts would save everyone time and reduce this manual mailing of applications and delays in AOR.

Regardless with whatever changes they have planned, they will need to put in focus and resources to clean up the manual citizenship AOR delay. I think this one time project will be needed whatever they plan with their digital solutions.

LOL! While it’s great to see some movement at all, I really don’t understand the logic behind how some apps submitted at a later date getting AORs faster. I mean the first step is just the validation that all required docs have been provided and the package is complete, I don’t understand how it can take longer for some applications, and not for others..

A guess is that a lot of applications assigned to one officer, and second lot to other and then after so let’s assume that officer 1 has application from jan 15,2020 and second one had applications from jan 25,2020. So application received on jan 15th and jan 25th both will be scanned almost in same interval irrespective of 10days gap.

it’s my interpretation I may be wrong but I tried to apply some logic

Definitely could save so much hassle for everyone if an online application submission could be possible. I did my mom’s visa online and it was so fast and easy.
However I don’t think that scanning already submitted applications by applicants themselves would work, at least from «keeping the queue » standpoint.

Application sent Jan 29th, Delivered Jan 31st. AOR Received just now.

Admin, Please update my timeline. Thanks

Oohhh guys! I just saw the previous post about AOR and went to check my email - nothing. Then tried again to check eCas - and my application is there in Application Received status!!!
Yesterday when I tried to check eCas it wasn’t working, there was nothing
Congratulations. So probably they have been loading the application in their system and sending out AOR's by email.
When was your Application received date?

Congratulations. When was your Application received date?

Thank you! So I was thinking that it got delivered on Jan 17, but it was actually delivered on Jan 16. I didn’t look at the right line in my fedex delivery confirmation:oops: So yeah, January 16th.
The eCas is strange though - it doesn’t show my application file number. I guess it’s not generated yet, that’s why I don’t have an AOR yet.

Great. Finally some good news and which gives hopes for many of us.

Usually we wont be able to see the Application number in the Ecas. By this week you should be received AOR

Yes, searched with UCI in format ********. Also, I was born in one of the Soviet Union’s countries, and in the Place of birth dropdown I selected “Union of Soviet Socialist Rep” rather than my country itself. I remember it was the same when I was in PR process.
