AOR: 23rd Jan 2020
1st medical test date: 27th Dec 2019
Remedical Request: 5th Jan 2021
Remedical date: 16th Jan 2021
Application Updated (Remedicals Passed): 23rd Jan 2021

Would this mean that the rest of the checks have been completed and I should expect a passport request soon?

Same here. Waiting for PPR... DO NOT EXPECT FOR A PPR REQUEST ANYTIME SOON. I have read posts from Facebook and believe me, candidates who had passed the Re medical exam in the months of Oct, Nov, Dec 2020, and Jan 2021 are still waiting for ppr request. It's frustrating to see candidates who have got PPR with medicals extension. You may order GCMS notes or Call up IRCC to know the status, this may speed up the process.

Hello @legalfalcon

My AOR 20 jan 2020
CEC inland applicant
VO Ottawa
my eligibility, criminality, security, info sharing all passed. Awaiting final decision.

As per my GCMS my medicals were due to expire on 3 jan 2020. Till date I haven’t received remedical request nor the same has been extended which I came to know by my recent conversation with IRCC agent.

I want to know whether medicals should be valid for inland applicants as well to issue copr.

I recently got my and my family’s bridging work and study permits which were issued on 18 Jan 2020 after expiry of my medicals.

As per agent my application was last updated in mid October where my security was passed. No update since then.

I really appreciate your valuable response.
Thanks

Medicals have to be valid when while your application is in progress and when you are issued a COPR, irrespective whether you are inland or outland applicant. If you medicals are about to expire or will expire before they land, then they will be extended. All medicals that have expired or are about to are sent for reassessment to the Regional Medical Officer for reassessment.

This is usually done upon during final review or upon the expiry of your medicals.

Medicals can be extended and you can always send in a web form to request as well

If you have the acknowledgement slip with you, please send it via webform. I dont know whether it works but my status got updated to 'you have passed your medical exam' immediately after I raised a webform to send my medical test acknowledgement slip. In any case, it takes at least 1-2 weeks for the status to get updated.

Looking at the current status and processing delays, Now I am not expecting anything for at least next 4-5 months.

This is the worst! they accepted new applications during covid when they couldn't even start to process existing ones and now there's a big backlog.
