Hi,
Can anyone please confirm what is the process after receiving COPR, do we need to submit our passport for that process? My passport is going to expire in Jan 2021. Should I wait for the final decision and then renew the passport or will that impact my PR process if I'll go ahead for renewal at this time as it takes 1 1/2 months for passport renewal?
I'm CEC inland applicant AOR 23 March 2020, Medical - Passed 12 May 2020, Biometric - Done on 16th Oct, Final decision - Awaited

The ghost update is just a movement in your file. If nothing is depicted on your MyCIC account, it is difficult to gauge what it means.

Hi - In my opinion you should renew passport with high priority as it is due to expire within 3 months . This is critical as passport renewal process could also be slow due to Covid - 19. Once done simply raise a webform.
Please check minimum passport validity required by IRCC. Refer : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/passport-travel-document.html
I am Jan AOR outland applicant. I recently renewed passport as it was due to expire in 8 months. Once done , I raised a webform to inform IRCC. Within 2 weeks I received a notification from IRCC informing me that they received required documents.

I have an issue when i log into a my application, Application details section appearing in Pink and when I click it directs to a new page where its displays an error.

just checking if this a common case of an issue that is only applicable to me?

cheers

The final review or assessment is done by an officer before finalising the application. They check that all documents on file are valid, the medicals, passport etc are valid and all checks have been done and based on your country of residence that will transfer the application to the LVO or send you the instructions for PPR and then transfer.

If everything is passed, you can almost there. Just wait and you should have the PPR soon.
@legalfalcon

Thank you for your valuable time and suggestions, appreciate it very much.

Regards.

The due date is a system generated date to remain the officer that an application is pending. Most application are processed way before it and some keep pending way past it. So the due date does not have much significance as such.
Thanks. So hopefully I will look forward to an update close to the medical expiry date.

Seems like in this week things are back to the old trend.....no PPR emails shower like last week.
Yeah this week the number of PPRs issued seem very few. But I am eagerly looking forward to the Immigration Levels plan announcement on Friday, 30th October. Hopefully along with the plan, it does indicate how existing applications will be processed going forward.

Hopefully.......they will also be renewing the travel restrictions by 30th October , which is most probably going to be extended for another month or two, but I hope they introduce some exemptions for the recent PPRs and the ones in the pipeline.

Yes even I do believe the travel restrictions will be extended further. But yes, hopefully there are some exemptions coming up.

My AOR was on Jan 9, 2020. I got PPR on Oct 19 after a long wait! Just sent my passports yesterday! But there is no update in my CIC account on anything. I mean nothing says any check is done or anything. Is this normal?
