Hi everyone...just a quick question... this is for post Ita stage...aor 25th jan'2021... biometrics done in feb ... recently middle east visa has been renewed...what are the steps of informing IRCC? Thanks in advance @legalfalcon

You don't have to inform IRCC of any visas approved post ITA. In the application you file, any visa rejections that you have had have to be reported.

This is for a friend who has already received AOR for herself and her daughter. She is divorced and is a single parent but her husband has visiting rights.

She has changed her daughter's surname in the passport and wants to raise a web form to update the same.

does she need to upload any other docs for the same? or only a passport will suffice.?

A passport will suffice. However, if there is a gazette notification for the name change, then that too has to be submitted.

Just a random question, If you are first landing is in Calgary or Vancouver, however your flight is via Toronto then at which airport will all the immigration formalities be held? @legalfalcon

It will be done in toronto. Check if you fight from toronto to Calgary/Vancouver is a domestic. It will start from a domestic terminal of Toronto airport.

Yes it is domestic flight, but the transit stay is only for 2 to 3 hours max, which I think is quite less for the whole procedure while the ultimate city of destination is different.

If you had booked under the same carrier they would reroute you on another flight option.
If your flight is on time then 2-3 hours is enough. Usually I walk straight to immigration after landing. If there is anything Ill figure it out later.
3 hours should be good enough.

Usually airlines like Etihad & Emirates fly to Toronto directly and from their a different airlines (probably Westjet) is used to fly to other cities. I was just going through the news and there were articles relating to flight delays in Toronto airport due to increased traffic. People have to wait for hours in the planes till their turn comes. Don't know how will the authorities manage the transit flights?

Look for threads that talk about this issue over here. Try calling the airline to know their policy when it comes to missed flights.
If you are travelling with children it will be tough. They mostly check you in on another flight. But how long it will take is the big question. sometimes you have to stay the night in the airport or book a hotel room. I have missed flights and stayed the night in a hotel.
