1. Yes, this is normal when you medicals are sent for reassessment for extension.

2. If your medicals were about to expire or had expired, they would be reassessed. This is good since IRCC cannot issue you a final decision (PPR) unless your medicals are valid. So expect a decision soon and one less thing to worry about.

Thanks @legalfalcon for your kind confirmation. For point 1, while the agent informed me that the medicals have been extended, on login I didn’t see that update yet. Would you be knowing how soon would the update reflect on login?

hi everyone! Here is my timeline, and I have a question if someone can help me with this please:
AOR: 4 Feb 2020, Medical Passed: 14 Feb 2020, PPR: 28 Nov, COR: Iran . I sent my passport but haven't received it yet. My IRCC account shows counterfoil valid till 27 Oct 2021, however, my medical shows I passed 14 Feb 2020. What has happened? Is my COPR and medical valid till Oct 2021 and I can travel until then if there are no travel restrictions? or do I need any re-medical?!

Hello Guys!

Based on what I read, if anyone can confirm that after getting the counterfoil, the Authorization Letter is supposed to follow? Or what is the next procedure?

I applied thru an agent, i tried getting info from them but I havent received any reply till now on the next steps. I am worried this might expire and be unable to travel and lose the visa. I am getting mixed information from what I am reading.

AOR: Jan 9 2020
PPR: Nov 19 2020
PP sent to Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi: Nov 28 2020
PP received: Dec 15 2020
Counterfoil Expiry: April 29 2021

The time frame from the receipt of passport and expiry date is such a short time frame, which i believe the COVID situation will not settle yet by that time. I want to ask for extension or otherwise if extension is not possible, I would rather travel before the visa expires.

If anyone can guide me that would be much appreciated!

If you were informed that your medicals were extended you are good, and no need to worry. As regards your MyCIC account, it may take a few days to be reflected there, as it has to be updated.

Most likely your medicals may have been extended for another 6 months.
