Hello All,

I have been a silent observer so far. I have received my virtual COPR today. Thought I would post the final result timeline.

CEC- Inland
Visa office- Edmonton
# of applicants- 2

My timeline
ITA- Nov 11, 2019
AOR- Jan 03,2020
Biometrics- Feb 10, 2020
Medical Passed- Feb 27, 2020. (My medical expired, so had to re-do them)
Eligibility & Background check- April 30, 2020
COPR - May 27, 2020.

I recieved an email containing virtual COPR asking for 2 photographs and to mail the COPR letter along. Seems like they are no longer issuing PPRs as someone mentioned before. The letter clearly states that we have about 1 year to do this due to offices being shut down.

I wish all those waiting for their PR good luck. Cheers!

Thank you for giving this update! This really gives a lot of hope.

Do you mind If I ask something? What do you mean by Eligibility & Background check- April 30, 2020? Is this a date when you receive a webform response stating that your Eligibility & Background check are valid/passed?

Those are the dates specified in the CIC application dashboard. I believe that my eligibility and background received clearance then and my COPR was issued today. But I never received any ghost updates.

When I raised a webform in May 2nd week, I dint get anything on Eligibility. They just said security, background and medicals are valid. Hope that helps.

I am Jan 30.

Then if you got the feedback that shows you that your application is being processed, why are you looking for the GU?. The news you have are better than the ghost update.
when did you raise your web form? I got the answer to my web form on May 19. I am planning to raise a new one on Jun 20. so I give it another month.
I am not the person who was asking initially about GU, I am a different person with the same status as you :)

I sent my webform May 13, and received the update May 19th as well.

Hi guys, my AOR 25.01.2020

Question to outland applicants. How you phone to IRCC, if you outside of Canada ? I tried textplus, hangouts, skype, texnow- no results.

Used this phones 1-888-242-2100. Also 1 613 944 4000 ( this is global affairs and also no result).
Thank you in advance!;)

Hi All, I had received my AOR on 4th Jan 2020 and MEP date was 24th Jan. There is no update after that.

When I called IRCC today, the person told me that 'everything is good'(not sure if this has any significance or a generic statement). But the status what he told me is same as what I see on website (eligibility check under process)

I am not PNP and applying using job offer. Anyone else who have applied under experience category with similar timelines? Thank you.

Personally, I have never got any GU. Perhaps I did not see it even if it happens. But when I raised a web form, I got the following:
Eligibility: met
Criminality: passed
Security: not initiated

so do not be concerned with the GU.
whats your stream FSW or PNP? and AOR?

Hi All,

I have received ITA in November last year and AOR in January 2020. Submitted my profile but I have a very complex work experience that includes part times and internships alongside the full-time experience. The complexity is with the different hours of job I took up each month as a research assistant at a University. I am concerned if I may have miscalculated and my CRS might not match the CRS when ITA was received.

As of today without a part-time job, I have more than 3 years of experience. Can I submit the latest letter from the current employer to make things easier? Would this help or is there any other possibility? I am nervous. Thanks in advance.

Hello Everyone,

I raised a web inquiry on May 25th and this is the reply I got today:
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:
  • The Case Processing Center in Ottawa, Ontario, established that your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied. (The last web reply I received was on April 25th and there was no mention about the processing center. Remaining below updates are same)
  • The background verifications are not in the process yet.
  • The security verifications are not in the process yet.
  • The criminality verifications are not in the process yet.
All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment. Please consult our website for more information on what to expect after you apply and how you can verify the status of your application in your account. Furthermore, due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only. We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 has not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible. Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed. We hope the information provided helps assist you with your inquiry.

P.S., don't jump on me or inbox/comment for raising the second webform as it is my wish to do so and I did out of my own will. My application is at 77% and 41 days remaining. Please respect other individuals' concerns and don't judge them. Everyone is different!!! I am sharing my application status so that it benefits others including me. Thanks!

we have the exact same left time- 41 days. I raised a web form yesterday. I hope they will make some progress on our applications soon.

Got a GU today. Background changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information".
Does this mean both security and background has started? Thanks.

Another person asking what no one can answer. If u read previous posts you would have known that Covid has thrown all predictions out the window.
