It takes at least 30 days. I applied directly.

I’m not sure about the closures. I still have 4 more days for the 30 days mark. When I applied previously, I got it within the timeframe.

Seems like, officers have already gone for Christmas vacation. Let's hope for best after Christmas

It seems the IRCC COVID-19 backlogs were mainly caused by 2 things. The first was the inability to get people into mailrooms to open applications. The second is that IRCC apparently works in shifts using shared workstations, and there wasn't enough "equipment" to take home.

I applied for permanent residence application for my siblings through family class sponsorship on the 8 of June since the receipt of my application I have not heard a word from the embassy what could be the issue and how long is the processing Time. It's over 18months now

for those who did upfront medical, did you applied outside canada? if yes, once you submit the upfront medical did it update right away in your gckey.
we are planning with my husband to do upfront since my children already did for their student visa and also uploaded it in webform.

but ircc officer said that its better to wait for medical request.
Please advise. 91% eta feb 10, 2021.
