I just got my PR. My file started off in Nova Scotia and was finalized in Ottawa. Its normal procedure. Same process my friends went through. If your file is in Ottawa, then the case processing officer made a recommendation for Visa approval which must be reviewed before final decision is made in Ottawa.

I don't know but in October when I was asked to provide additional documents it was still in Sydney Nova Scotia. I submitted those on October 22nd. There it must be sometime between October 22 and January 6th. My background check was completed on October 23rd.

If POF is proof of fund than I think that’s only for Outland applicants.
In case you are asked to provide it than get the current bank statement with available funds and upload it and make sure you have around $5k Canadian or equivalent in the account.

Thanks for sharing the timeline so it seems after medicals it took 3 months for you to get ppr still need to wait for a month I guess
