I am paper based applicant AOR- May 28, 2019. My file has been transfered to local visa office ( which is Nairobi). Yesterday they have requested additional documents like employment letter and PCC to be send on January 12, 2020. One thing I am worried is they have requested my spouse's IELTS result which we do not have at hand. When we try to register the earliest is January 18, 2020. So what shall we do for the IELTS???? By the way I am the principal applicant and I have send IELTS with the application.

Similar timeline. Just a lag of few days:

PNP Inland with Work Permit (Principal + 3 dependents)
AR - 20 Mar 2019
AOR - 7th May 2019
Medical Request - 10th Sep 2019
Medical Received - 30th Sep 2019
Medical Passed - 30th Sep 2019
RCMP Request (Principal only) - 5th Nov 2019
RCMP Submission - 6th Nov 2019

I have never called CIC. Not sure if it is worth it. But i am getting impatient now.
But there has been a lull in PRs being issued. I have seen hardly any PRs (esp for inland candidates) in past 1 month.

Some say it is because of Christmas. But does that mean government does not function these days? Hard to believe!

Some say there was a flurry during elections and now new minister is taking over. Even that is hard to digest. Policies have not changed. So there is no reason for staff to stop working.

Some say PNP quota for 2019 has run out. That seems plausible. Which means no new PRs should be expected until 2 Jan 2020.

Just a rant. Bear with me. Have a good weekend.

I think the background verification is going for a batch of applications. It is a time consuming process so patience is the only way.

You have been nominated by which province? Normally ielts is mandatory for principal applicants only, if you submit spouse's ielts then you will get additional points other wise you don't. If your nominated province didn't asked for it, you can inform that to your visa officer by calling them. May be while checking the eligibility they may found that your spouse's ielts is also needed for being eligible that could be a reason they ask for that. Better call them explain your situation.

Does any one else completion percentage increase? Do they increase it every week? Mine was 54% now its 56%..
Yes mine increased by 1% in one week

Do you have any idea how long it takes for background checks and eligibility check?

Contact IELTS registration office and show them received IRCC letter and request for giving an early date, otherwise ask them to issue a letter saying, "IELTS exam appointment dates are not available before 18 Jan 2020, which can help you to explain IRCC agent.

It is really strange that they asked IELTS result from your spouse. I propose you to contact a consultant...

Hi,
Yesterday I uploaded my new passport copy on IRCC Webform with all application details but not find any changes or activity on my account.

it is Normal and how long it will take for an update.
