Today I got mail from NDVO asking my spouse's PCC. Actually I have already send it on last September along with my PCC. I think they just started criminality on my application.

Paper based applicant (inland). AR July and AOR Aug 2019.
I called IRCC today and said that they only started criminality (no MR, eligibility and security have not started). It seems too slow for me. I have not submitted PCC from my country yet. Do you think this slows down my criminality check
Why didn't you submit PCC from your country? PCC is used to process criminality. You should try to submit your pcc via web form asap to avoid delays.

Since its Paper based application the only option is to wait . average procssing time is 18 months
Your timeline shows a faster processing time, Aor after 1 month of AR
