It took me totally 9 months to get PPR. It is like a dream for me. I’d like to share my own experiences as in how to fasten your application a little bit. It may seem irrelevant because most of you guys here already submitted your application. But maybe you can share this with your friends who are planning to apply in the future.
I also know that the whole process of PR application is very much a case by case thing. This is simply just my own experience and rationale. You may believe or not believe. It’s your decision.
1. I paid everything upfront, including RPRF. Everyone knows that CIC took a very damn long time to do things (even a simple task). So I don’t want my application to stuck at any stage so I paid everything upfront. I didn't know if I should pay the bio fees but I did pay anyway. So they did a refund for me.
2. Make sure to double and triple check every details of your application before submitting. I read slowly and cross check every single form of my application before submitting. I did make mistakes and had to re-print up to the fifth time. I didn’t get additional documents request for things like Schedule A or Travel History. Every time they request something from us, our application will be on hold until we submit it. Once we submit, only Gods know when they will resume looking at our application again.
3. I did upfront medical. CIC does say that upfront medical will speed up application:

However, medical results are valid for 1 year, you’ll need to wait a few months after AOR and do upfront medical otherwise your medical will be expired. In my case, my expected completion date is in Jul 2020 so I did my medical in the end of June 2019.
4. I submitted PCC upfront, together with my application.
So, the idea here is to give CIC the documents they need to process your application without requesting further from you. Again, this is just my experience and it works for my case. It may or may not work for your case.
