Im new to this thread. My application was received on Jan 30th.i WAS eagerly waiting for AOR but last night i realized something : i didnt tick off question 17c! Im so stupid. Anyone here who have heard of others not ticking this question off but still got AOR?

Hi all,

Can anyone advise me if this is ok. I receive AOR on 19th march via email. however, my son and my husband did not receive any AOR yet. My son has my email id in his form. I can login and check the status of all 3 of us, it says Application received and AOR sent with Citizenship book. All of us has same update online. Should I be worried, I waited for a week to get an AOR for my son n husband.
Is this common? Is there any phone no. I can call?

Thanks,

Its a good thing you are able to check their status online. You can doublecheck whether the email for the others

Mine was different because my PR was done by lawyers and the same OCI meant it was still listed as their office.

As long as you can get mail at whatever mailing address is listed it’s fine. For me, I want mail to my home address rather than relying upon a lawyer holding it for me to
go collect it when they’ve nothing to do with the application!

@peachmango Congrats on your AOR. I’d also need your location, physical presence days, date sent and date received to complete your record in the sheet. Thank you.
@johnny991 Congrats! I couldn’t find you on the sheet. Which row are you in? If you’re not in the list yet, could you please share your complete information? Thanks.
@Majito Sorry to hear that. I’ve updated your record. Good luck with your new submission.
@bhavikapatil @ha123 @Anto2015 @alb63 @Single007 @Abud83 @Ariel_M Updated. Congrats!

My ID is justinlei(125). Sorry, I have multiple accounts. I got all 5 AORs yesterday afternoon at the same time. Please update me. Thanks

Hi admin, please update my application status has changed to "IN PROCESS" on March 16!! I was surprised because I haven't got any email about changing the status, I found it in ECAS, I thought I would get a notification email. Anyway, I am so happy that this time I am not being unfortunate as with my first application. Wish you all the best of luck

Hi guys,i got the package returned today since my son's birth certificate is missing. The fee for him was refunded at the same time?My husband ,my son and myself appied together.Should i do anything with the other two applications which were considered complete?Should i just add the birth certificate then resend?Or I have to redo everything ,the forms and the presence calculation? Thanks guys!

congratulations to all the in process status applicants!
I wish I could understand the rule behind AOR to in process .
Based on people comments , I should have received mine already .
Still waiting ECAS to update

You mean Quebec's list of electors? I intentionally left this blank given I don't live in Quebec.

This is my interpretation or understanding of the process. It may be wrong.
  • The Sydney office sends you AOR email on a first come first serve basis. Also, it depends on when Canada post delivered / who received / how the applications are stacked / how they are taken out and who filed it. So, there might be a plus or minus 1 week variation in FIFO.
  • After sending you AOR, Sydney office sends your application to your nearest visa office. I believe, they are sending physical paper application. So, now it depends on when Sydney office mailed the application (I believe they do in batches), how far is your visa office from Sydney, when they receive it, who receives it, who handles your application, etc. So, to se "in process" it takes again a week or two or even three based on the factors I just mentioned.
  • Afterwards it's wholly based on your visa office (Ottawa in my case). A lot of factors again - work force, work load, efficiency of the officers application complexity, vacations, etc.
