I thinkrajkalrra haven’t changed the name yet but wants to change it

I am also in same situation, i sent my application in DEC and i want to add my last name but don’t know should i do after oath and everything or can i do it now and send them an update (documentation ) because after citizenship it takes 5 months to get updated citizenship certificate

I waited for my name change certificate and then sent in my application with that in January. But I think, you can't change the name during the process. Once you get your citizenship certificate, you shall change the name in your Canadian passport though.

"Note: If you were in your country of origin immediately prior to becoming a permanent resident and landing in Canada and this time falls within this four year period, you are NOT required to provide a police certificate. Please indicate this in the explanation box."

Hey guys, please was anyone's citizenship package received by a Hoss Boudreau at the case processing centre. I sent my package through Purolator's Express Pack on Jan 24th and they told me the document would arrive on Jan 28th but as at Jan 28 my document was still in Edmonton. I called Purolator to ask what was going on, they tried to excuse their inefficiency with lies. They eventually called on Jan 30 to say that my package was successfully delivered. I don't trust them because they did exactly the same thing with a previous package which I ended up not receiving a feedback from the embassy I sent it to at Ottawa.
So please if anyone's document was received by a Hoss Boudreau, I would very much appreciate it if you let me know. At least, that would give me peace of mind that all those sensitive documents are not lost. Thanks guys!

Hi there, Purolator did the same thing to me also. I submitted my application in September of 2018 and the application was returned in January of 2019 with stamps saying that cic had started working on my application and they just wanted me to correct the part where I put down my SIN number. Which i did and then sent it back to them via Purolator for express delivery. Boy was I wrong they where supposed to deliver the package on the 22nd and receive signature. I did not get signature until the January 30th. I was told in other forums that if your application is returned cic will fast track the application. Till now I have not got any AOR from them. I usually use canadapost for things like this but this time I was wrong. I will never use them again. Just wanted to share my experience with you.

I prefer FedEx for important documents. Their service is good. My package was delivered the next business day.
