January 2019 - Citizenship Application

Today, my ECAS status changed to "Decision Made".

Congratulations!!!

Now, for everybody else, it looks like there are 2 styles of offices or of processing the applications.
One style is as soon as the person does the test ( same day or next few days the office changes to decision made and some even do the cerimony by then)
The second style is when the person does the exam, there is an interview which is more to ask/verify things and then it takes 2 months or more to still verify things( after test and interview already done) to only then get it to decision made and be invited to the cerimony.

I am not sure if it is by case basis or by office. Anyway in my case and of somebody else I know which went through the same office it is the second option . But at least she told me, it should be done in time span of a year since i applied.

During the interview, I was told by the officer that she wd enter the data later that evening and my ecas changed to DM next day. I am sure different offices have different workflow processes based on how busy they are. Anyways, it will happen when it is supposed to happen. There is no point getting anxious.

wow that was quick! I have my exam next Thursday and i'm soooo nervous. Did you find it difficult?

Not difficult. But definitely not easy as well. I had doubt on 5 questions. They weren't tricky but the options were very close. And reading through the book at least once completely is necessary.

1. Application received: January 11, 2019.
2. correspondence acknowledging receipt of application, : March 5, 2019.
3. Started processing application : March 23, 2019.
4. correspondence for Finger prints: April 11, 2019
5. Sent FP : April 12th, 2019

Havent heard anything after that.

I wrote my test on 24th in Ottawa. And looking at the data, ceremonies on fridays, I thought my ceremony will be on Aug 16th (Ironically, my birthday).
I will let you know when I receive.
