Best thing about this forum is the company you have no matter how difficult it gets or how unique your situation is, there's always someone else with you.. you're never alone. Before getting PPR, I had friends waiting with me. After PPR, there are friends waiting for the next step. My eligibility and criminality passed back in Oct 29 and as of last week security didn't start. I am losing my patience here. Should I raise a webform again this week if there's no update? I mean its almost 11 months now. If my case reaches December then I have no hope of getting the PPR this year since it will be holiday season. This wait is just so annoying.

I would say raise the webform if you haven't recently. Don't constantly hammer them and don't stay idle either. The idea is to strike a balance in between. For me that balance was a webform about every 2 weeks and GCMS notes every 1.5 months. Not sure how much any of it helps - after all, your application only moves forward when the officer wants it to, but at least it always keeps your application in recent memory..

But @mxg your ghost update is very recent.. there's probably good news just around the corner

I got the ghost update when I passed eligibility and criminality. Security hasn't started yet for me and I have heard that it takes the longest.

Security can pass in one day too, like it did for me. Ideally, they should have started your security the moment your eligibility passed, but since they use a third party for this, I guess they have a quota or queue there as well. Hopefully the wait isn't too long.. rooting for you!

also most of the people got re med request, did u miss it too, call CIC and check if there was indeed a request, u still may have the chance to get your remed done as the timeframe is 30 days,

Well i called them yesterday and told them that my medicals have expired and to check if I've missed any communication. They confirmed that I haven't missed any communication and told me to stay put.

u should call every week and raise webform every 15 days, GCMS notes every month, this at least triggers the officer to look at your application, also did u called them recently and what was the response , u should say that u r completing almost 11 months and are worried, if the agent puts u on hold for 3 min, then he can check in another system what are the details on your application. U should insist on details, the details are only in another system and not the system they look at. Thus they put u on hold, tell them u r worried and need to know status, most of the agents agree to look in details and u should ask them to send a reminder to the officer in the call. Also security can finish in 1 days so dont worry, hope this helps , good luck

I have applied for BOWP on July 8th and until now I haven't received my work permit. Online showing they are still processing my application. I've seen people from this thread who applied after me has gotten their work permit. About 2 weeks ago I've received an email from CIC that my final determination of permanent residence interview has been scheduled. Right now I don't know what's going on. Any ideas?

PPR Today!

Finally, its time to write about my success story. My path was full of hurdles but after crossing all the way, it lead to a better destination.
Here is my timeline:

IELTS 1st Attempt - Apr 2018
IELTS 2nd Attempt - June 2018
IELTS 3rd Attempt - Sept 2018
IELTS 4th Attempt - Oct 2018
(Cleared) after re-evaluation.
ITA - 12th Dec 2018
AOR - 29th Jan 2019
MEP - 12th Mar 2019
BIL- 20th Mar 2019
Then came the worst nightmare – Got to know from CIC agent that eligibility 'NOT MET'. Proactively submitted new reference letter prior of getting GCMS.
Ordered GCMS to understand the reason.
1st GCMS ordered on 14th June came on 2nd Aug, does not have any information (everything was hidden)

2nd GCMS ordered on 3rd Aug received on 1st sept. Got to know duties were missing. Did nothing as i hv already submitted new reference letter with duties on 29th June.
Mailed ralph, erin but got reply that "your file is awaiting review by an officer"
Re-med request- 17th Oct 2019
Re-med passed- 04th Nov 2019

PPR – 8th Nov 2019 (but i did not get it because some how my mailbox got storage full issue and all the mails bounced back)
Called CIC on 12th Nov to know the status and got to know that email has already been sent on 8th Nov.
12th Nov- raised webform to re-send ppr mail.

PPR email received- 13th Nov
VO- CIO Sydney from start till end

I will suggest everyone to wait patiently and do your part whenever required.
