Hi Everyone,

This morning I got an email from CIC with the subject Ready for Visa. They are asking me to submit my passport to a visa office in Canada. Being an Indian Citizen working in USA shouldn't I be getting my Canada visa stamped in the Canada embassy in the USA. Any help is appreciated really confused

No, the Local Office for US based applicants is CPC-Ottawa.

Whoever I know applying from the USA (Indian Citizens) got the same.

Most of my friends got it b/w 3 weeks to 5 weeks.
Check w/ others posting recently.

I am an Indian citizen residing in the US too, still waiting for the golden email.

Does it really take them a month to stamp the temp visa and return? I would have thought it would be leas than 2 weeks. Wonder what takes them so long.

Honestly no clue. For my close frend's application he freaked out so much that he didn't get it back within 2 weeks like others were posting.
Even though the tracking number said delivered, there was no response from IRCC saying that they received the passport and this guy was convinced they lost it lol.

There was a thread here on folks who sent it in June/July 2019 and said they all were waiting so he waited too, and it came in the 5th week.

So the waiting game doesn't finish at PPR, only the main chunk of it is over.

I have a busy schedule this week and need my passport, so most likely will mail it out next week, if I get it back early November, it will leave me only one month to land with my medical expires in December.... oh well, better than nothing.

Got second ghost update now.(Review of additional documents : We are reviewing -> Not Applicable)

AOR Jan-13-2019. Feb 20 Medical Passed(Mine). - Married Feb 22nd and additional Docs req- April 15th. My Bio-metrics on March 14 and wife's on April 17th. Eligibility: Not started, Security: Not Started, Agent sent a remainder on Sep 10th - Montreal Office

PPR is surely around the corner.

Your case is similar to mine as even I got married during the middle of the application and processing center is also Montreal.

They asked for additional marriage proof and spouse biometrics on 12th September which was done by 18th September, 2019 then again silence.

It now shows we are reviewing the additional documents you provided hope that changes to not applicable for me too.

We used fedex and the first line did not even fit into the address bar - whole other confusion for that. But everything made it there. I think we used:

CPCO – PR VISA
US Perm/Temp VISA/Passport
365 Laurier Av. West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1

And everything made it safely!

for them it took around 5 weeks!!

One of my close friend from US also got it back in 5 weeks, and another couple got it in 3 weeks.

So between 3-6 weeks I guess.
