Many many happy returns of the day @rushi.gada brother!

Your footprints in the group works wonders for all of us and gives us hope.

@rushi.gada @vinayk & the experts please help me with the below concern so I can sleep peacefully.

So I resigned from my job on 12th August, 2019 on an immediate effect due to mental abuse by my boss.

I was on a closed work permit + lmia.

My visa expires on 12th Jan, 2020

I am awaiting PPR but wanted to start working legally till I officially get a mail.

So called CIC and found out about this new visa category called “VULNERABLE URGENT OPEN WORK PERMIT” in which they call you for an interview in 5 days to explain yourself about the mental abuse.

I went for an interview today where told the officer about the mental torture and the duties that I did for my boss which were not related to my NOC.

Officer told me that they will get back to me with the decision in an mail.

Interview went for hour and a half.

After I was done and I came out it ring a bell to me that I told the officer that my manager didnt let me do the duties what they hired me for but will that have an adverse effect on my ongoing PR file in which I have claimed this experience.

Draw : 443
My score : 497
Category: CEC Inland
Assume : They link todays statement to my PR application and take off 50 points thinking that I didnt perform as per my NOC. I still end on 447.

OVERTHINKING!!!

I am assuming I am still safe but not sure.

Category : CEC Inland
AOR : 1st Feb, 2019
Medicals : Passed
Criminality: In Progress
Security: Not started
Eligibility: Not started
Reminder sent : 21st August, 2019
Reply came : Please be informed that the file is in the que for review by an officer.

Please advise @rushi.gada @vinayk @legalfalcon @cansha with your expertise and knowledge whether my todays interview of Urgent Open Work Permit will have any impact on my ongoing CEC PR file.

Completing : 7 months today

Awaiting your reply on this.

Please & Thank You!
Hi buddy, I think you are over thinking .. there is not connection between the two things. Don’t worry. Few more weeks hopefully and you should too get your PPR email :)

Good luck ! Be positive and keep busy

Anybody with NOC code 2282 user support technicians ever got PPR?
I am getting worried that I might have picked the wrong NOC code.

Hey sorry to hear about what you had to go through. A bad boss can make life hell and I'm so glad that you're out of it. As for the "Urgent Open Work Permit", this is the first time I've heard about it so I don't know much about it. Below is my speculation and various scenarios based on what you have said.

I think 50 points of CEC should still apply because even if you didn't work in that NOC, you still have Canadian experience. I don't see any reason why that wouldn't apply.

And as you correctly mentioned even after removing that 50 points you are above cut off for that round, that is all what matters. I see no reasons for worry here but I understand why you would be worried. It is not an easy situation to be in. So, take some time off and if possible try to keep mind away from all this for a few days.

I hope you get the open work permit and your PR soon.

I am not aware of any GUs as I did the application myself and was too naive to know about them initially. But i didnt have any GU before my PPR.. I am quite sure about that.
Congrats friend! Did your RPRF request say letter say anything about admissibility review?? I am asking because I got a RPRF request a day after you but mine mentioned something about admissibility review

Can you someone explain to me what Info Sharing is ?
I thought IRCC may retrieve your information from the USA if you are residing in Canada, as it showed USA at the “partner” part under the “Info Sharing” section according to my notes. So assuming an inland applicant had applied for USA visa before, his or her security probably had been already screened by the USA immigration department, and IRCC could rely on this information to analyze the applicant further.

However, it is still hard for me to understood this section completely since there is no comment or other explanatory term under the “Info Sharing” section in my notes.

Maybe open another page to have this discussion. It's an AOR group not a PPR group.
Well, First of all i replied to someone's post it was not a general post in thread. Secondly this group belongs to people who got their AORs in January and i am one of them. Nowhere it is mentioned that people who received pprs cannot post here. You really don't have to waste time in telling people what to do and what not !!

Majority of folks still present here are dealing with a range of emotions from prolonged processing times for which they can't phathom. Empathy requires that you respect their frustrations and make plans POST-PPR without rubbing it all in their face. There are folks here who applied before you and are still waiting, if you're making plans with someone (1 person), the least you can do is respect the entire house. But what do I know? I'm just here reading comments.
